I was thinking it was 7 in the playoffs.
finally gets his 16th technical, which means a suspension, he and Kobe have been close to that number the past few years but Kobe has been able to control himself...Howard can't. Now he'll get another suspension for every two he gets, which there's a lot of games left, he could and IMO will end up getting two more suspensions. I'm pretty sure he's had several rescinded too, not sure though.
Wonder how he controls himself in the playoffs too, I think it's just 5 and a suspension, then one for every technical after. He's got a bad temper, Kobe's comes from moaning and *****ing everytime he screws up, Howard gets into it more. They could slip to 5th place to the Hawks with dumb things like this, really needs to mature, he seems to pick them up a lot when they're losing - esp after they cooled off pretty quick after that trade. That trade hasn't panned out really, they started out okay, but Richardsons numbers have dropped all around since leaving Phoenix - warned Magic fans how inconsistent he can be. Hedo's numbers haven't really went up, though I thought they would have quite a bit. And no surprise Arenas has done little, he's a shadow of what he used to be, just a ***** who used to be good...oh and getting rid of your backup to Howard which you'd need right about now and your best defender. They'll be gone in the second round for sure.
I was thinking it was 7 in the playoffs.

I know it was a few years ago, but I believe now it's 6 - either way my 5 was wrong, though I believe it should be 5. This is what I was reading earlier this week when I got 6...

Dwight Howard's Technical Fouls Have Him on Brink of Suspension - Orlando Pinstriped Post
He probably doesn't care about this year too much. Word is from some at ESPN is that he's going to the Lakers next year.

I'd really hate to see that. But Orlando never fields an all around team. They trade this year seemed to work great at the first, then it just faded away. Those players have just flopped.
But I'll be a Magic fan til I die.
Howard does need to control himself a little more but he takes more abuse than anybody in the league. I have a short fuse too and if I got beat down like he does day in and day out I would probably already be out of the league.
He will calm it down some and more than likely won't get more than 2-3 more tech's the rest of the year.
As far as Richardson his numbers have went down from Phoenix but he isn't asked to do as much either. They are very balanced in their scoring with 8 players in double figures a night. But dude is clutch when it comes down to the end of the game, he has hit numerous big shots since he has been there, numerous.
Hedo's numbers have been the same except he has doubled his APG since the trade which should be the case since he touches the ball more, however, he is nowhere near the player he was when he left town. They don't go to him for the big shot anymore.
The only thing that hasn't worked out on the trade front was them getting rid of Gortat, WTF were they thinking.
Howard - 23.1 PPG
Richardson - 16 PPG
Turk - 10 ppg
Red ick - 10.2 ppg
Nelson - 12.6 PPG
Anderson - 10.6 PPG
Bass - 11 PPG
Arenas - 11.5 PPG
So Orlando is very balanced and hopefully can make a run in the playoffs.
